Lava cake

Ingredients

• oats 1/4 cup

• cocoa powder 1/4 cup

• baking powder 1/2 tsp

• dates 7-8 pieces

• milk 1/3 cup

• vanilla essence 1 tsp

Instructions

- Dry ingredients : sift together blended oats, cocoa powder, and baking powder.

- Takes dates and deseed them( remove the seed).

- Blend the dates with the milk and vanilla essence.

- Simply combine the dry and wet ingredients. You may add some milk to adjust the consistency not too thick or not too soft.

- Transfer a spoonful to baking mould/ ramekins lined with oil and butter. I have used silicon moulds. Optionally add a chocolate piece in the centre and top it with some more batter.

- Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes at 200°C or until the edges are set but the centre is still soft to touch. Serve & Enjoy 😀☺️

Tips for Success

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor
  • Make sure your eggs are at room temperature before whisking them with the sugar.
  • Don't overmix the batter after adding the flour, or your cakes may turn out tough.
  • Don't overbake the cakes, or you'll lose the lava effect.
  • Let the cakes cool for a minute or two before removing them from the ramekins, or they may fall apart.
